If you travel near the border of 2 countries, your wireless device may connect to a network in the neighboring country if that network is transmitting a stronger signal than the network of the country you are in. When you arrive in a country covered with TravelPass and turn on your device, you'll receive an international welcome text message text. Your 24-hour access to TravelPass won't begin until you make or receive a phone call, send a text or use data. Shortly before your 24-hour session ends, you'll receive a text letting you know TravelPass is almost up. If you stop using your device before your 24-hour session ends, you won't be charged again until the next time you use your device internationally. That might be later the next day, next month or even next year. Smart Prepaid subscribers who are registered to Smart's roaming service abroad only need to load a minimum of PhP50.00 per month starting December 1, 2015. This amount has been lowered from the previous minimum load requirement of PhP100.00. Should your load go below the minimum load requirement, receiving of incoming texts for your roaming account will be temporarily suspended at the start of the the following month until your next reloading. This process will start taking effect on January 5, 2016, and will recur every 1st of the month thereafter. You will be notified via SMS if receiving of incoming texts in your Smart Prepaid roaming account will be temporarily suspended. You will still be able to send outgoing texts, however. If my International Roaming service has been temporarily suspended, what should I do to reactivate the service and start receiving incoming texts again? Once your roaming service gets suspended, you will need to reload at least P50.00 to restore full roaming service features and reactivate the receiving of incoming texts. How can I reload my account? Smart Prepaid subscribers registered to international roaming may reload their accounts through the following methods: • Buy a Smart Prepaid load card; text RELOAD (space) 14-digit PIN to 1510 • Purchase load via Smart Money • Receive load from the Philippines via Smart PasaLoad. Please for more detailed steps on reloading. How soon after I reload will my International Roaming service be reactivated? Full roaming service features, including receiving of incoming texts, will be reactivated within 48 hours after reloading. Subscribers will be notified via text upon reactivation. Note that incoming texts sent to roamers during the period when their roaming was temporarily suspended may no longer be retrieved. I reloaded P50 to my account on December 1. The load expired after 15 days (December 15). I was not able to reload again from December 16 to 31. Will my International Roaming service be suspended in January? No, the roaming service will not be suspended in January. As long as you reload a minimum of P50.00 within the month, your roaming service will remain active the following month.
